How to choose a wall decor?

When you are about to decorate your wall, keep the following in mind.

Define your personal style.

Decide on if you want to decorate your wall with a single large piece of décor or multiple smaller pieces to make a wall gallery. Also decide on if you want to decorate all the walls or just one wall to bring focus to just that.

Consider your colours.

Decide on if you want to decorate your wall with decors of mild colors to complement the existing décor or of contrasting colours to stand out of the existing decor.

Get your lighting right.

This is an important step that people often neglect. Arrange your lighting such that the focus is on the décor.

Trust your instincts.

Remember that in the end, whatever makes you happy is always going to be right.

How big should my wall décor be?

This is one of the most frequently asked questions. Take the width of the wall, divide it by three, and that number should be the minimum width of your wall décor or your gallery, centered on the wall. So, if your wall is 10 feet long, your wall art or overall width of your gallery wall should be no less than 40 inches wide.
The same rule of thirds applies for the height. If your ceiling height is 8 feet high, then the height of your wall decor should be around 32 inches.
